Personal Development Plan and Myer-Briggs Personality Test

Myer-Briggs 16 Personality Test

To measure the personal profile of any individual, there are various personality test theories to use. Myer-Briggs personality test is known as Socionics personality test theory that is consists of 16 different personality systems. In this personal development plan, I will use my personality test result that is provided by the Myer-Briggs Personality Theories. This personality measurement test also includes eight different sections that are extraversion, sensing, judgmental, thinking, feeling, introversion, perception, and intuition. The test shows the result of my personality test as INTJ which is known as the mastermind personality.

Personal Development Plan

The Personal Development Plan refers personal plan of any individual that helps to reach the target effectively. Personal Development Plan consists of some specific sections such as the organized goal of a person. The weaknesses and opportunities of an individual are also included in the personal development plan. The main reason to gain the goal and the main barriers to reaching the target is also regarded as the features of the personal development plan.

Personal Development Plan has mainly five strategies that help to identify an individual to plan properly in an organized way. The first section of the personal development plan is a specific target, the second section is to identify the targets objectives, the third section is an action plan to gain the target, the fourth section is referred to as factors of the target, and the last section of PDP is to identify specific time frame or duration to attain the target.

Problem Solving Skill

To cope with a competitive professional career, the skill of problem-solving is very important to attain by an individual. I want to improve my problem-solving skill to succeed in my workplace. And I have engaged in some voluntary organizations to develop my skill. I have started to read out some scholarly books and journal articles that are very helpful to reach the target. Without gaining this skill, I will not be able to cope with the condition in my workplace. And this skill can be attained by following the action plan. Problem-solving skill is a must needed to organize any company or a team.

Socializing Skill

As the INTJ personnel is regarded as avoiding social activities. In this context, I have to focus on this skill to socialize myself with society. I have started to participate in some teams and groups. I have also worked in every social part which is helpful for me to improve my skill. Effective Teamwork also. Socializing skill is very effective to reach the goal that is set by any individual. This skill helps to improve the weaknesses that can affect negatively working in the group.

Team Working skill

Those have this personality; they generally want to work alone rather than working in a team. In this context, I want to gain this skill to work in a team. Voluntary activities within any particular team or group can be helpful to increase this skill. Mental support to cope with the team manner and work with the colleagues can be helpful also. I have already started to do work in a team that is helping disabled persons. I have some specific responsibilities in the team such as maintaining files and documents of the team projects.

Communication Skill

Without communication skills, a person will not be able to work in a team properly. As teamwork and communication skill helps me to be extrovert than introverted, in this perspective, I want to learn this skill properly. Communication skill is a bunch of other skill such as being an active listener, active responsive manner and maintaining proper method to communicate. By following this system, I will be able to learn this skill. I have started to follow the methods of effective communication systems. If I failed to learn this skill, I cannot work in a team properly. Communication also helps to be an extrovert and to do in a group properly.

Innovative Skill

The mastermind personality is regarded as the innovative skilled personality. As this personality has the innovative skill, it can help to modify any idea in the workplace. As I regarded this personality, I can get benefits from the following system. I can use my skill in the workplace to innovate any idea. By using it in my workplace, I can use my skill positively. Every team needs an innovative person who helps to create a new idea to reach the destination effectively. I can help my team by providing my skill.

Deliberate Functions 

This skill helps to work deliberately in practical life. Mastermind personality has this skill also. As I work deliberately in my personal life, it is very effective to work in a team properly. I have potential skills to use in the workplace deliberately. Deliberate or voluntary working skill helps to gain the best outcomes in the group or a team. As I want to work in a team, in this context, it will be very helpful to work in a team properly.

Building Relationship

Building a relationship between two persons is very important to work in a team effectively. This skill helps to work in a team collectively. By communicating with team members, I will be able to develop this skill. Co-operating with group members also helps to attain this skill. To build up this skill, it is also important to engage in a team. Without building relationships among team members, it can be a barrier to gaining the team target within a particular time frame. This skill also plays a very pivotal role to implement a personal development plan.
